Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, born on August 19 1965 was an American actress. She is also a producer and director. She is most famous for her starring role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was honored with a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. Following the conclusion of the seventh season, the series was cancelled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, an therapist for speech and family, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian of English descent.
